Need some help please. This morn shot a doe w/ my 7400/30.06. The bolt got stuck back and I had to force it back down. (No clip) The deer was still standing and it wouldn't load another case so i manually loaded one. No need for 2nd shot so now i have i shall in gun that will not eject. How do i get it out w/o firing the gun?

I am not a gunsmith, so wait for them to reply. I have worked on the pump 760, 7600.

While keeping the muzzle pointed in a safe, secure direction.-

Remove the trigger group. 2 pins hold it. Remove it.

Take the forearm off to get at the gas system. I am thinking rust and corrosion may be the problem?
Spray everything with WD 40 and let it sit at least 1 hour, before trying to eject the live round. Inside and out. Bolt, receiver , springs.

Check the bolt release for proper operation.

Do this at your own risk.
Better yet, take rifle to a gunsmith. Be sure to tell him its a loaded with a live round, before entering the shop.

(To others, Plz, no debate on WD40 ty.)

If memory serves, you can drop the Trigger Group, and that includes the hammer. Once the hammer is removed, I would mortar the weapon, much like an AR; use the mass of the BCG to aid unlocking.

Mortaring an AR:

You can certainly mortar the weapon with the Trigger Group in place, but I would hesitate; I don't remember if the safety positively locks the hammer. If the hammer falls, there will be a loud noise and a hole in the ceiling.

Those style Remington Common Fire Control groups all block the trigger only.

If you mortar it please make sure it is onto a hard but soft surface. Like carpet or rubber mat.
