So, good day to all.
Just FYI. I've been using 870s for about 40 yrs for work. Went to an armorers school decades ago. I bought an almost new 870 Express. Gun runs fine, EXCEPT!
When I try and unload the gun using the shell latches on the bottom I find that the front edge of the lifter will not let the shell go past it. No clue on how to fix it. Interesting problem, right!
Looking forward to suggestions. I'll check the site but email me as well.

I think its too long by just a 1/16 of an in. but before I take it out and shorten it. I wanted to hear other suggestions. I originally thought it was the type of shell I was using but I tried it with different manufacturers, Same results. I also wondered if the contour of the lifter at the end is too pronounced. (Lifters have a bit of a curve at the end). I could buy a new one if I have to, there are some still to be found.

870 Express shotguns seem to be just thrown together---cheap---often won't function without some internal work and a bunch of shooting too get them to smooth-up---I stick with older 870s and have no trouble...
