Thanks a bunch for all of those who have helped me with my sling question. I looks like I am going to single point sling route so now I am faced with changing a few things for my project. I need to figure out which attachment points to go with for the sling.

I have a Surefire fore-end and a wood stock.

1. GG and G front and rear sling brackets
2. GG and G front bracket with Speedfeed stock and use some aftermarket attachment for the stud that is on the bottom of the stock.
3. GG and G front bracket and does CQB make a sling point sling with the slip on stock mount that they use for the 3 point slings.

After I figure this out the project will be done. I am leaning on 1 and 3.

i think i'm misunderstanding something. are you going for 1(single)-point sling? or a 3-point sling?

b/c a 1-sling does not require front and rear mounting points. it only requires a rear mount plate installed btwn the stock and the receiver. for that, i recommend the Daniel Defense 870 Burnsed Loop (link ). it's only a few dollars more expensive then the GG&G plate, but it is has its edges rounded. this both saves wear on the sling, your clothes, and your skin.

i had GG&G plate for only 6 months and now you can definately see wear on my wilderness sling. the GG&G sling also caught my knuckles more than once. this is much more evident on my ar, but the concept still holds true.

Actually I got mixed up thinking of all the different types of slings. I was thinking a a sling point sling was like a sling that attaches from the front of the shotty to the back.

So after putting all this stuff together in my head I only need the rear sling attachment and I am good to go.

Sorry for the confusion! :)
