I have the ability to pick up a yugo mauser in 8mm-06 for cheap. How cheap very.
I never thought about it but how do you reload 8mm06? Or i should say since I know there is more then one way to do it. How do yall reload your 8mm06? What dies and methods do you use?

The intermediate length actions of the Yugo M48 or 24/47 will not handle 8mm-06 length ammo in a standard magazine without modifications.
You will need 8mm-06 dies to load it properly, and often ebay has them, or the online stores like MidwayUSA.

You can gain around 100fps over the standard 8x57js (Mauser) when talking full throttle loads.

shorter than a standard 98 action

by a 1/4" you will need to have the magazine well modified, if it hasn't been already,
and a small cutout in the front reciever ring for the bullet when top loading.
Otherwise a great caliber, with plenty of power for anything on this continent.
About reloading, just like any other bottleneck cartridge, data available in most
up to date manuals, and dies should be readily available from most suppliers.

8mm/06, the misers magnum as it was called. I have one on a 98 that I kept around as a knock a bout and loaner rifle, when I bought mine they threw in a set of dies for it. One of the old Speer manual had some good loads in it, dont know if the newer ones do though. It was a great round and a way to use your Mauser when the ammo was scarce. If you ever get a chance to pick one up dont forget its a loaders rifle no store bought stuff for it.
I just use my sizer die and neck up the 06 case and load from there, easy to do. If you happen to get one pm me I might be able to help you out. Good luck.
Yes it does take a standard length action for this one.
