Few months ago, at a gun show I saw an old pistol that resembled very much a Colt 1911, made in Spain by a company called Gabilondo.
The caliber was "9 mm Bergmann"..I heard of this caliber before as 9 mm Bergmann Bayard.
What kind of round is this?? It is just an synonym for the 9 mm Parabellum or is a different cartridge??

9mm Largo is the Spanish name of 9mm Bergmann Bayard.
The cartridges are interchangeable and most guns will feed and function with .38acp also.
Some say .38 Super can be used as well.

If you go this route, UMC Remington yellow box hardball .38 Super is pretty mild and probably best of this stuff to use in these older Largo guns.

.38 Super is an overload for 9 mm Largo. PLEASE check your reloading manuals before shooting .38 spec in older spanish autos. I use 9 x 23 cases loaded to 9 mm Largo specs.
