I just looked at a 1942 model 94 Winchester, 32ws. in very good condition for $525, with a marble's rear sight.

Is this a good price?

A Model 94, 32 WCF in very good condition for $525. If it was not refinished at all, bluing or wood than yes it would be a good deal.

Be sure you are straight on the caliber.
.32 WCF is not .32 Winchester Special.
The .32 Winchester Special is the same as .30-30 except for .321" bullet and is a correct '94 caliber.

What caliber is roll stamped on the rifle,.....exactly? Winchester 94s were made in 32-20 AKA 32 WCF, and 32 Winchester Special.

No.
A .32 WCF lever action Winchester will be a model 92 (or model 53, mechanically the same) or an old model 73.
OK, I stand corrected. Seems like their was another 32 caliber the 1894 was offered in at one time? can't think of it right now.
