9mm 124 XTP Data

Been looking for some load data for a 9mm Hornady 124g XTP.

I normally use Titegroup but I do have a couple pounds of Power Pistol and a pound of Bullseye in my bench.

I saw a couple internet posts that showed a load of 4.1 or 4.2 with a OAL of 1.130.

Anyone load this bullet or have any suggestions??

I'm going to load up 200 ea. of my normal TG and 124gn JHP-XTP tonight. I haven't looked up any thing else over all or bought other powder for my 9mm loads because the tg has done so well.

I use PowerPistol for the Hornady 124 gr. XTP's with 6.5 grs. with an OAL of 1.125, makes for a good warm load. One of my favorite loads for 9mm jacketed bullets. LM

PP is my favorite with 124gr and 147gr jhp 9mm Para. got a bit of flash though. much less when fired out of my Marlin Camp and nehew's KelTec carbines. comes out of there w/a 'crack'.

The Hodgdon online reloading guide shows a lot of loads for Hornady bullets, especially the XTP.

The recommended OAL for this bullet is 1.080" and 6grs of PP is supposed to shoot like a laser.

The listed OAL is 1.060" for the 124 gr. XTP. I run mine 1.080" in my firearms. I wouldn't suggest going any shorter than the listed minimum of 1.060" or pressures could jump up excessively.
For Power Pistol, my book is showing 4.3 grs. to 5.7 grs. with porjected velocity 900 fps. to 1100 fps..
