I bought a used Hi-point carbine, was out shooting it last weekend after cleaning it.
Shot a box of Winchester steel ammo, no problem. Switched to Winchester white box and within 5 shots the carbine had a FTE. I ejected the round and noticed the ejector keys had fallen out of the rifle.

I contacted HiPoint support, the tech started off by asking if I was using Winchester white box, I agreed I was. He said he gets 20 calls a day with the same problem. Carbine has been sent back for repair.

I wont buy any white box again..

I don't know. My Hi Point, an older one, has had no issues with any ammo I've fed it. I've shot plenty of WW White Box.

Ditto on the older carbine. Mine has an appetite for everything 9mm.

Red White and Blue boxes work fine

WWB has such a bad reputation.
In my experience, I've bought 9mm WWB that had 1 or 2 out of spec. unshootable rounds in every box.

My early model shoots it fine (04-05 model) . Accurately. Even tula works in it. The only issue I ever had was with promags. They effectively turned it into a single shot. Out of 2 mags I had 2 consecutive rounds go off 1 time. And they look to be built better than the factory mag, They just won't function

I had an old style 995 that ate pretty much anything I fed it, including WWB. They must have changed something since then.

Yeah. Mine is more Ak than AR. Enough slop to feed 40 in my 9 if it would fit in the mag I think. I'm guessing they are using better machines with better tolerances. They feel nicer and more refined nowdays.

Note I never said Nice and Refined. I said Nicer and more Refined than the early models. I even like the new style stocks better. Still ugly but a step in the right direction.

What bullet weight was the WWB? I have shot plenty of 115 gr WWB, have not noticed it is hot, couple of my 9mms like it better than Remington. My WWB 9mm were from several years ago, not new production.
