Has anyone used the Remington Bullets 9mm (355 Diameter) 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket? When reloading 357sig without effecting the max OAL. I have used the Remington JHP (worked great) in the 124 grain but did not know if the FMJ was longer than the JHP.

Thanks,

In my experience, FMJ bullets of a given caliber and weight are almost universally longer and skinnier through the ogive than JHPs of the same caliber and weight. To put it another way. JHPs are chunkier.

JHPs almost always have to be seated to a slightly shorter OAL than same weight FMJs to pass the plunk test.
