Now that I have a 9mm and a bunch of brass, I want to start loading for it. I just don't know what load I want to use (and I don't have time to hit the range and try a bunch of different loads).

I'm thinking about using a roundnosed jacketed or plated bullet in the 124-147gr range. I welcome bullet recomendations as well, but they have to be inexepensive and available in bulk.

I have the following 9mm appropriate powders on hand:

Bullseye
Unique
Power Pistol

I'm looking for a standard pressure load that burns clean and is known to be accurate in Beretta 92 handguns (I know all guns are laws unto themselves).

Bonus points if it hits close to the same POA as Winchester's Ranger SXT 147gr load (the RA9T version).

Thanks,
Chris

My standard load for 9mm is a 124gr West Coast plated RN with 4.2gr Titegroup seated to 1.130" nominal. Shooting about 1070fps from my pistols.

Titegroup is similar in versatility to Unique, but it's cleaner. I get it for about $12.50 per lb.

I think my old loading notebook is still in storage in NC, but I've mainly used two loads, one for a 115 grain Win JHP and one for 124 LRN (different brands over the years). Both with Unique and never felt a need to try anything else. I've shot both in my 6906 and the JHPs in my Pocket Nine. Unique was always a pretty reliable powder for making good loads in assorted calibers without a lot of messing around. Just pick a standard load out of a manual and give it a try.

FWIW, the load I use is:

-Laser Cast 115gr. LRN bullet
-5.6gr. Unique
-CCI small pistol primer
-Win case

This is also the most accurate load I have ever tried for by my 9mms.
