I have a witness match in 9mm. The old school one with supersight and no rail. I love it. But I want a suppressor host, so I either need a new gun, or some mods to this one. And I need to do it as cost effectively as possible.
Priorities are:
1) short light single action pull
2) tall adjustable sights. (I shoot lead, I need to be able to adjust point of aim.
3) cz75 style platform if at all possible.
Option 1 - buy a long barrel from eaa for 200, then have adco thread it for another 100 (after shipping etc) OTD cost- $300 then I'd have to figure something out for the sights.
Option 2 - buy the efk fire dragon threaded barrel for $200, but I don't hear positive things about that at all. And I'd still have the sight issue
Option 3 - sell my match and buy one of the new cz75 supressor ready guns. BUT, the sights aren't adjustable, I'd have to spend some money to get the trigger converted to single action, and maybe even more to get it to be a good SA. And the grey is kind of a weird ugly color.
Option 4 - try and find a plastic gun that is suppressor ready and hope I can drop in a decent aftermarket trigger for it. I haven't tried any, but I hear decent triggers can be had for the M&P, xDm, and glock. (I had a glock for a while, and it was super reliable, but I hated the trigger, and the barrel hated my lead. so maybe not the glock) xdm for $500 and a trigger kit for 150.
Are there any other suggestions? I don't really want the 1911 platform, and my astigmitism means I do a lot better with tall irons than a reflex sight like a fastfire.
