It's still closer to high-end .380 ACP then low end 9mm!

Yes, rc, that is technically correct. Not sure what the point is though. ;)

I just started loading 9x18 for my CZ-82. I've got a pound of Accurate #5 and a box of Speer TMJ that I'm starting with. I was looking for something a little faster like #2 or HP-38/W231 but I couldn't find any locally.

All of my 9x18 Makarov loads have been with W231/HP 38 so far.I am going to try Titegroup & Power Pistol as soon as I replenish my bullet supply. No particular reason other than experimentation.I am thinking that maybe PP will give me a tad more velocity without increased pressure.Titegroup works so well in other calibers for me that I want to give it a try. Thank you all who contrbuted to this thread.I have some good ideas for me to try.:)

Sounds like a great time to get into casting if you want to 'try something else'...

Be careful, casting is addictive.
Especially when you start to figure out cost vs store bought ammo.

I started with one mold 6 months ago.
They've replicated so I now have 6 molds in 5 different calibers.

I put a +2lb recoil spring in my Mak, Accurate #5 still did not out perform W-231 with 93gr lrn. I do have some Sierra 100gr fpj #8210 that #5 may do well with ? I will check it out.
