A brave new step
Ok, guys, I'll be experimenting with some new stuff this winter and upcoming summer. I'll report all significant developments.
The effort was spurned by my interest in .223 90 grain JLK bullets. In order to really get all the advantages, I need to moly them, which means I'll have to moly all the rounds through that gun. Rather than do that, I'm going to try the Hornady 75 gr. HPBT Moly bullets for the short course stuff, cause I can get them really cheap, and they're good bullets. So, the experiment goes like this:
Depart from my 77gr SMK/80 gr SMK loads, and switch to 75 gr Hornady HPBT moly/ 90 JLK moly loads. Ought to be a really interesting experience. Might be really frustrating, or might take me to High Master. We'll see.
The experiment will begin when I get my new barrel back from the smith.
