A compact DAO 9mm with easy to rack slide for a woman?

I get this all of the time, both teaching basic CCW stuff, and working at a gun counter.

"My wife can't rack a slide."

This is normally said by a husband, pointing at his average size, average health, wife.

WRONG!!!

Every single time, a couple minutes of proper instruction has them racking the slide. Unless you have severe muscle problems, arthritus, or bone disease, you can rack a slide. The % of the population that actually can't rack the slide of a semi-auto is tiny.

Read Pax's link that has been put up repeatedly. Then have somebody (not you) teach her how to do it. (the biggest mistake I see is going slow, and not using the strong hand to "punch" the gun)

This is nothing personal, but husbands/boyfriends CAN'T TEACH their wives or girlfriends. I've taught hundreds of people, but I can't teach my own wife. It just doesn't work.

And like pax said, if she's happy with what she has, that is up to her. Your concerns are your own. The most important thing is that she is confident with her gun.

Well, this is an odd suggestion, but if she can handle a long, deliberate double action pull, this may meet your requirements. My wife said she was really suprised how easy the slide was to rack on the 40 version I just got.
DA or DAO
No external safeties or weird grip safeties
9mm
compact or sub compact, but something that will allow at least three fingers on the grip
an easy to rack slide <---very important to her and her main reason for avoiding a semi auto

CZ-100. Cheap, too. I'd say if you can find one to lay hands on, just for grins and giggle, take a peek.
Other than that, my standard answer would be CZ PCR or PO1, no external safeties, decocker, but not DAO.

Another would be the CZ-2075 RAMI, which does have to gently manually decocked, but with the extended 14 round mag, is very easy to shoot, and quite compact.

Just some thoughts. The most important is she try it out. I lost count of the number of firearms I went through until my wife settled on the RAMI 9mm.

My wife picked the H&K USP 9mm Compact for just this reason. She can rack the slide easily on this pistols. It's DA/SA, but can be carried cocked and locked in SA mode. It's a really sweet pistol. I thought about getting one in .45, but they are not cheap.
