is quickly becoming a discussion rather than activism, so I'm starting a thread here to discuss it.

No, this is a GOOD thing. If they draw the battle lines at the Contitution, they've already LOST.

1--It's almost impossible to amend.
2--It may actually be impossible to eliminate a portion of the BOR without undoing the republic itself.
3--By arguing that the Second must be destroyed, they concede that the Second has power. A far more dangerous and successful attack has been to say the Second is simply dead letter.

It is good that they are moving the battle lines and letting their readers know their true agenda, and that is Cosmoline's second point - undo the republic itself. There is a far left movement out there that occassonally calls for a new constitutional convention. Do we really want that? That, folks is the next battle, if they are willing to concede the power of the 2A.

Well, look what they did with the first AWB. If they cannot frontally assualy the 2nd they will chip away at it. The net effect is the same. What good is the 2nd if you can only have a 1 round magazine for your m1a?
