I bought a Florida Highway Patrol commemorative C.R.K.T. Kit Carson M-16-14 like this on eBay for $20 bucks years ago.

It was too huge, too heavy to carry in a pocket, sharp like a razor, but too big for anything except a combat knife.
It was like a folding Ka-Bar!!

I had no use for it other then to look at it and wipe it down once in a while.

Wife's nurse I told you about?
Her husband is a Caption in Lawrence PD in charge of Drug Enforcement unit, and SWAT Team.

I gave it to her the other day to give to him as thanks for being a COP!!

I think it made his day!!!!!

He said he had a perfect pocket for it on his body armor!!!

And said he can throw away the wimpy little cheap knife he has in it now!!! :D

I call it a win for both of us!!

I have always thought CRKT made some really fine stuff for the price point. Lots of gimmicky stuff too, but I think most knife companies have discovered that gimmicky stuff sells.

Nice matchup!!! He's definitely digging it. :D

I always liked the design but found it a little big just like you. But if someone is wearing armor or gloves or a thick duty belt, the big size probably makes it much easier to operate than fumbling with a tiny knife with small thumb studs.

When his birthday comes around, you could build upon the genre you have began...a Maxpedition Folding Knife Sheath, or a Spyderco Doublestuff Stone, perhaps?
