I took the boys out to the club this morning and popped 5 roosters in about 3 hours. On the drive in I spotted a real nice buck! Out of my unit but they are starting to show themselves!

In any case it was a great morning with my K-9 buddies.

Your pics make me miss my dogs and upland days afield.
^^^Same here. Lost my Drahthaar of 12 years this August. Best damn bird dog and best friend I have ever had, and I have had some form of Continental pointing breed for half a century. At my age, I doubt if I have the time and effort left to do another. My wife does have a 1 year old Standard Poodle that points rabbits and follows her nose pretty tightly. Might have to take her out to the Pheasant Farm and see if she takes to it.

Very cool... Love those pix. I was never able to do much pheasant hunting because they have become pretty scarce in these parts. When I was a kid it was almost unheard of to walk across the huge field behind my parents house and not flush at least one pheasant. Most of my pheasant hunting was done on a preserve that was run by a semi-retired guy, who has since fully retired and no longer operates. I miss that type of hunting. Currently looking into another place that isn't too far from me. My primary pheasant gun, an old High Standard Flite King 12 ga. pump, is getting to be a safe queen.
