A Proposition: Which Gun Do You Reach For First?

You are alone ,except for Casper and Cody, your two Labradors, in a mountain cabin on the east, side of the Wind River Mountain Range in NW Wyoming .

It's January. Temp is - 40 and windy. Nasty. Suddenly you hear a noise and then a pounding on you door

You have got a lifetime of 12 firearms to chose from .Your choice?

Not knowing if the pounding is caused by a two legged critter or four, I would probably choose the 10mm handgun based on what is listed. It may be an injured stranger and you can help someone inside with one arm while being armed.

Pounding on the door would indicate a human outside (to me)... so I'm going with 10mm handgun from the listing.

You don't need a gun in this situation. Dangerous critters aren't stupid enough to be out in -40 and only unfortunate people are going to be "pounding on your door" in such weather. A gun is just a fantasy response.

Yup. I don't own any of them and none of them have ever made it even into any fantasy wish list. No point in reaching for something that simply ain't gonna be there.
