A Question for Hi Power Experts

Saw a Hi Power for sale recently. The serial number was 290199, They claim it's a Belgian made pistol, but I can't find any serial numbers like that for Browning guns. Any chance it's an Argentine made pistol?

A Belgian Hi-Power doesn't have to have been distributed by Browning. It could be an FN.
