So over the weekend I took one of my Saiga 7.62x39's out to the range and put a couple hundred+ rounds through it. I have it fitted with an SGM quad rail (model Q123-3) and by the end of the day I noticed I a considerable 5+mm gap worth of wiggle on the rail. Which didn't matter much at >30 yards but once you got out around 100+ yards I couldn't get it to hold near zero through the glass to save my life.
I made sure when I installed it to use loctite of course, and this was only the second time to the range this thing has been out with it.
So I wrote SGM Tactical about my troubles and they responded promptly today. Their response, was to box it up and send it back for a new one! Which these days is more admirable than one might normally see. No fuss, no trouble. I look forward to receiving the new one and know I'll continue buying their products.
With that, and as many horror stories as I hear about some of these aftermarket mfg's I just wanted to share my good experience and share the thumbs up for SGM tactical to anyone else who might be curious to their customer service. Happy shooting folks!
