OK, CalNRA says that the lead ammo ban is on the governor's desk, but also says it landed there 9/06 and he has 30 days to sign or veto. But it also says 9/10 and 30 days for microstamping, which has until Sunday. So, is the lead ammo ban in place, or can I still oppose it?

Interesting. The text of the bill only addresses large game and coyote, and centerfire rifle and pistol ammunition. It does not cover rimfire ammunition, nor does it cover shotgun ammunition. It does not cover small game or varmints.

Initially, I was concerned that it would also include rimfire and shotgun ammunition and small game, which it does not.

The impact of this bill will not be small, but it won't necessarily be the end of the world either. At least, not in the short run. This is not nearly as bad as the microstamping bill which is complete and total BS.

It is bad and does set a terrible precedence. It's based on very suspect data. These gun grabbers managed to foist this on hunters by screaming for the condor when their populations are rising despite lead ammunition. Nothing but knee jerk reaction on this one.

what about cases where non-lead ammunition is not available for some calibers/rifle types?
