Sportcat,

I wouldn't do it. Better be safe, get some Aqua-Literz (reinforce them with cut up USPS priority mail cardboard boxes--they fit perfectly) and leave them in your bag.

Your drink tube could mildew.

I left my camelbak full of H20 and the bag sat in my car for 5 weeks during the summer. 100 plus weather. The tube had mildew in it and I had to get a new drink tube.

Dont do it.

Guess I could buy some of Skunk's Aqua-Literz (I'm assuming that is boxed water?) and then pour it into the Camelbak bladder for easier transportation when/if needed.

Sound like a better plan?

Not cheap, shipping may be a killer (it's water, yo, checkit). See if they have a local brick and mortar dealer where you can drive over and pick the stuff up.

You're paying for the packaging, not the water, so take good care of them. Don't put them unprotected in a backpack, they WILL burst over time if you are not careful.

Like you said... water cheap, shipping cost bad.

Searched around on the net and found a price of about $.50 per container, but the shipping bites. I'll have to find a brick and mortar like you mentioned.

For water, why not just buy a case of bottled water at wal mart or such and rotate every 3-6 months?
