Absolutely unbelievable -- torture test

Just my opinion if you will...

George Hill states it very well, that being : 3rd party testing is best.

Alleviates any bias from manufacturer or from someone that is "fond" of a particular platform or make/ model. This 3rd party needs to just that - non-biased either for or against - just test the durn gun.

I have done some torture tests, in fact was told on one gun "what do you care, go ahead an tear it up". There were two of us testing this gun.
The other fellow even went so far to "stick a primer in a case, scoop powder, and stick a bullet in it" .

See, and ya'll thought I was nuts. :p

Still always remember : Anything made can and will goof up.

Just because one person had good/ bad results does not mean paint all of that item with the same broad brush.

Too many variables to judge everything on "tests".

Always comes back to : One has to test for themselves, their equipment, in the setting(s) they will be used in.

Yeah I know - still no free cigar. Such is life.

Still fun to learn and get starting points for one's own knowledge and testing tho'.

Yes I have done the sand test on 1911s, K frames and other guns. I have also tested in mud/ snow, freezing cold , rain, tornados and other "settings".

One thing I can share, without a shadow of a doubt, and this one test YOU do not have to test for yourself.

Not a handgun btw...

870 Marine Magnun will not float. I do not care if it says "Marine" on the durn gun, it ain't gonna float.
I "tested" this twice and - nope, that sucker will not float. :)
