Nice shooting, I don't know how did you finish in general. However, it looks like a good one.
I hold my breath just watching it.

Won my division. Missed out on the overall. Open shooters scoring major have a pretty big advantage. Still getting used to shooting the dot. I have about 5 weeks to get it really squared away before the Area 8 match, with money on the line.

Another match with the SRO still running strong.
I have a 5MOA one coming hopefully next week and am looking forward to swapping out the 2.5 MOA one

Fun local man vs. man match. I only shot video of the first bracket... I won the first bracket, placed 2nd in the next, and won all matchups in the final overall shootout until the final first place matchup, where I lost 3-2 against an Open shooter (the same guy who beat me in the final matchup of the 2nd bracket). SUPER FUN. The adrenaline gets pumping when you hear the other shooter hitting plates first or getting his first shot off before you, and you have to mentally discipline yourself to ignore all that and just focus on your plates.

Nice shooting!

The "Zen" force is strong in you. Come to the "Zen" side of shooting ... Come. :D

Step-by-step of Zen Shooting - https://www.bullseyepistol.com/zenpract.htm

I am advancing some of my defensive point shooting students to "Zen" of shooting, regardless sighted or unsighted to deliberately shoot more accurate at will anywhere on the targets at farther distances.

When they are able to produce tight double taps (shots within 1" or almost touching), I ask them, "How did you do that?"

They respond "I don't know, may be I got lucky."

I tell them there are several shooting variables and when the variables become more consistent, they WILL produce tighter double taps and groups faster. Becoming more consistent without deviation is the journey towards "Zen" of shooting in my book.

After reaching point shooting proficiency, I see them trying to speed up and producing larger groups. And I tell them to practice until all the fast double taps are inside the 1/4 sheet copy paper targets - Only after they are able to consistently place all the double taps inside are they allowed to move the targets further back and if the holes fall outside of the 1/4 sheet targets, to move the targets closer.

I tell them my objective of match/defensive/point shooting is not to shoot fast and accurate occasionally but to shoot accurate as fast as possible to maintain that accuracy to the point where you can absolutely and positively ensure every shot hits (POI) where you want the shot to go (POA) - To me, this is my "Zen" of shooting. As you reach this point, type of pistol/caliber/ambient temperature/whether sunny or pouring rain, should not matter (Yes, we shoot in pouring rain with rain gear - You gotta love 100 inches of annual rainfall).

Shoot some PCC this weekend. My knee has been bothering me and it's more fun shooting this gun when I can't really go hard than it is shooting pistol. Ended up nearly winning the match overall, about 1% behind my buddy. Losing my balance on the first stage and having to shoot those makeups cost me a lot of time

Nice shooting man, even with a hurting knee.
Put some ice under and top to reduce the swelling if that is the issue (no heat at all).
I will bite the bone PCC (PSA pcc 9mm) soon just to have fun plinking with friends.
Btw, my wife hate you.
Keep posting.

I had it drained and got a cortisone shot on Friday. This match was Sunday. Today it's already quite a bit better.

Back to CO for the Area 8 match and then not sure what after that. Either Limited again or PCC to end out the season.

Rest the leg to avoid more inflammation. Now the PSA is out of stock, I will follow them to catch one.

If you don't rest the swollen will keep coming back even after the cortisone treatment.
What was the reason of the inflammation (over-flex, long period kneeling.) Rest at night with the leg elevated.

Loose some weight will help you twice in speed stages and long life buddy. I've lost 27 # since March from 205 still want to get to 170 or so (I am almost 60 YO, walk, push up, sit ups every other day.)
Don't over used if it is swollen will be became chronic.

Last match before the Area 8 championship. Physically felt good and was fast, but too many mistakes. (I had 2 mikes, 2NS and 2 PE at this match, not good)

Glad your knee respond accordingly to your needs.
About your score seemed you were faster than before, between positions.
I am not an expert or a competition shooter by any means.
It might be, that having a latent injury you test yourself to much every inch.
Anyway you will do more than fine, smooth your corners, keep going up.
Rock the big one next time.

Area 8 championship match.

Started out GREAT. Had a stage win, a second and two thirds after four stages, but couldn't hold onto the consistency. Ended up with a few penalties as the day wore on and choked away a good result.
Now to put away the CO gun and shoot a division I actually like

Finally back to shooting my preferred division, but need to adjust again to this gun. A little bit sloppy here, but still a win

You sound like having fun, more than competing that's great.
Seem the category suit well, how is your knee doing,
so far.

lol nope. Winning is the most important thing.

Knee is ok, not great. As long as there aren't many all out springs in matches I do fine. Shooting on the move is slightly affected because I can't get as low to stabilize the sights

Not a stellar match. Three penalties is three too many, but I won every stage except one in Limited and finished second overall to a new Carry Optics GM that I always battle with.

Local 10 stage match today. Wasn't able to beat the Open or PCC top guys, but did win Limited

Ditched the plastic Walther Q5 for the steel Q5 SF. I like it much, much better.

This match started off at about 34 degrees and the stiffness in my body and trigger finger really showed on the first two stages. I was able to warm up and speed up a bit by the end. Last stage was fasted time of the day and also all Alphas.
