I have an awesome set of Elk grips for one of my 1911's. I have large hands, but even so, thezse grips are just too thick. Is it possible to have them "thinned" a bit and still have the edges and holes match?

Would have to be thinned from the outside md you would lose some of the look that you have, but absolutely possible. It’s just finding a person with the skillset, patience, and time who also has no sense of smell... grinding bone STINKS.

Yeah. you're right. Probably be better to sell this set and buy another to replace them.
