On Veterans' Day, I bought a couple Aero Precision gen2 FDE lowers from Primary Arms. I picked them up from my FFL yesterday. I am extremely impressed with them!

I use Anderson lowers for most of my builds and find them to be affordable, reliable, and well-made. They're no-frills and simply work. However, as I looked at my Aero receivers and Anderson receivers side-by-side, the machining of the Aero lowers was superb. I could find no tool marks whatsover and the Cerakote was perfectly applied. Everything is perfectly machined. This is not a knock on Anderson as I still feel that they are excellent and I will continue to use them; instead, this is a compliment to Aero for producing an excellent product. If this is an indication of Aero Precision's products at large, I will continue to buy their products.

My last 2 builds have been Aero's and as you noted, they're flawless. I like the added extra features like the upper/lower tension screw and the idea that he rear take-down pin retainer is held in place by a set screw, rather than the end plate.

Our Skeet club on post had a sale on Aero lowers a while back for $40 per (no tax on post), so a bunch of us at work bought multiples. Nobody has had a disparaging word yet. I'll keep using them.

Ive got a lower sold with the Surplus Arms and Ammo name on it, from about 8 years ago, don't know who made it for them, but it is the nicest non billet lower I have seen, as I compare it to aero and delton.

Me too. Just be careful, this is my third one...

Look it! Everything one needs for a Three Hundred Blackout! All in one box, waiting for Christmas Morning.
The only things not Aero are what they don't make. You could call me a fan...

I agree. I got tired of Anderson and Stag. Aero make nice lowers. I like the ones with the built in trigger guards.

I tell you one to avoid is the Mega lower. Very out of spec. I needed to do some serious work to get the parts kit in and get the lower on. Had to pound the pins in with a mallet

Aero has earned a reputation for well made, in spec lower and upper receivers. They’ve also acquired Ballistic Advantage barrels over the last few years, which is an industry leader in 4150CMV nitride barrels.

Aero has a lot going for it.

Mine is older than that (Gen 1?).

Before they dropped the Surplus Arms & Ammo from around the crosshairs.

It was a very nice lower and I was going to get another one but the craziness was just getting started and the price went up as well as them changing the logo. It was some years before I bought another lower.

The Mega lowers are also very nice. I have never seen them at rock bottom prices like some others.

Yes mine looks like the top one... Very nice. Who made them?
