Ok, I've had my Arsenal SGL-21 for 2 weeks now. I did a final zero on the iron sights and I've added a K-var detachable scope mount with an Aimpoint 9000sc for the primary optic and might add a magnified scope later. So far I've cycle 1400 rounds through it in the course of 3 range sessions. All I can say is WOW those Russian build a good rifle. My accuracy has been between 3-4 moa with the Red Dot Aimpoint. My ammo was Brown Bear Russian made. Maybe with a magnified scope I could get a little better grouping but wouldn't expect any miracles. I've got quite a few guns including a couple AR's in 7.62 and 5.56 but this Arsenal is the one gun that I will never, ever give up. I rarely sell one of my guns and I plan on keeping my smooth shooting AR's forever (god willing I don't fall on REALLY hard times) but if I had to choose just one for the rest of my life it would be this Arsenal in my hand hard times or not. I never thought I would say that about an AK but I'm totally sold. I fired it from the bench, rapid fire mag dumps, and from a number of different positions and it just flat runs like a dirty rotten dog.

a good ak can convert anyone... it happened to me too. I love all my guns, AR's included, but come time when the sh*t hits the fan, my ak is the one i'd want by my side.

Now if I can just find a good system for a 3 point sling option for a left hand shooter!! I love hiking with those slings, so darn comfortable.

i used to only like REAL rifles and would never dream of getting a pop gun like an AK. after getting my SGL20 it sits next to my M1As with pride. i love mine too! and the muzzle break is superb!

Yeah the brake is excellent. The design throws the blast side ways and up keeping muzzle climb to a minimum. I would have never guessed I would like it as much as I do.

No kidding nalioth! I'm pretty sure I put in the original post that "those Russian build a good rifle". Thanks for telling me what I own, as if I didn't know for some reason.

I put a US made "Krinkov style" brake on my Draco-C pistol and "fake" or not, I was amazed as to how straight back the recoil became. Whereas shooing with a slant brake it flipped up like a .44Mag.
