Link for Aguilla shotshells?

I don't hit gunshows, but looking to get some Aguilla shotshells.

Any links?

(Ack! Don't do it!)

Or, more reasonably, don't buy many, to start out with. Those you do get (don't, but when you do), try a few tests for penetration and accuracy. If they meet your demands there (ha!), then test for reliability.

Good luck, mano. Personally, I think you'll have less success than I did with the evil "plastic cored anti terrorist training rounds" I bought in 7.62x39mm years ago. Only ammo I've seen that could make my SKS rifles malfunction...

I use the mini slugs for practice on my range and I never had any problems.
As far as accuracy, I get 3" at 30yds, if I do my part right. I feed them to a Moss M590A1. YMMV.

I tried the Aguila Mini-Shell slug loads in my Stoeger Coach Gun. EXTREMELY dirty-burning stuff (worse than Wolf Ammo--barrel looked like an old chimney) & I couldn't get it on paper at 25yds. I ended up giving the remaining shells to another shooter at the range in disgust. :barf:

Let me know if the new stuff is any better... :(

In the shotguns I have tested them in, groups with these slugs generally run larger than buckshot patterns from ten to twenty yards. Three of five will also keyhole badly from ten yards out, making me wonder about adequate penetration on a predator of the two-legged variety. Of course, it could have been five for five and they tumbled at just the right time to make it appear they went in straight. Cute novelty, but not something I'd use.

I have agree with Denny and others...sad, but groups with slugs were pitiful, pattterns in buckshot...not good. I did some penetration tests on bldg material....410 really looked good that day.:p
Lot of folks think they have something with all those rounds stoked in a mag tube...not me.

I did find one good thing for these "mini twelves". Older gun with short chambers and let a grandkid shoot it with said granddad and his dad. The little kid was so full of pride and history, he picked up the bigger pcs of the stationary clays he hit and put them in a cigar box. He will get the gun someday, grandad is gone now, but he can have the memories of that day and clay pcs in a cigar box. Those pics and memories are priceless.

I bought a box to test figuring that a 12 rd capacity would be neat if it worked. After i found ejection reliability sketchy, i decided against it. Then i had a moment of clarity and realized that if 8rds of 2 3/4" 00buck won't do it, i'm better off running away.

Anybody tried the Aguila Minishells? My brother and I picked some up today in 12ga 7.5 shot. They dont have the powder or shot weight listed, but they have around half the recoil in a single shot as a light target load does. Other than being somewhat expensive, I belive they would be good to start a new and or young shooter with. I havent tried them in a pump, but if they functioned reliably you could have close to twice the ammo capacity. The store had these in buckshot and said he had some slugs but sold out.

In some guns like my 1300 they will feed flawlessly, however, they do not eject flawlessly

I tried them in my 1300 Defender & they kept jamming going into the chamber. It looked like they were going in crooked (kept hitting the right side of the chamber).
