I don't quite follow your statement. What do you mean when you say "looking through the optic in the third optic"?

No idea. Looks like I edited my post without proof reading the sentence to make sense. Sorry for the confusion, it has been edited *again* to make sense.

I have a 6920. I have an Aimpoint PRO. They go together like... well, you get the picture. Perfect match.

If your irons are sighted in, just mount the Aimpoint as it comes from the factory and adjust the dot to the same point of aim as your irons. You're set.

Just as TrailWolf said, above.

I have two Aimpoint PROs. They are my favorite fighting carbine optic. The included mount (with spacer) gives you somewhere between an absolute co-witness and a lower 1/3 co-witness. I prefer an absolute co-witness, but it's not super important as the optic is parallax-free, and even if your cheek weld is lower than the center of the optic, as long as you can see the dot, that's where POI will be (within it's zeroed range of course). As others have said, the FSB being in your FOV doesn't matter one whit. As for where to mount it, I mount mine as far forward on the rail as I can while still getting full engagement on the mount. The farther forward it is the less of your peripheral vision it will take up.

we use a similar set up in the military, the standard mount will be an absolute cowitness. While some people like to "lollipop" the red dot on their front sight post and call it zeroed I tend to zero my irons and optic separately, ymmv.

if you are concerned about it blocking your view you might try a lower 1/3rd cowtiness mount, a lot of people like that (myself included)

+1. I am WAAAAAY to OCD to not have the RDS really, truly dialed-in. Once done, even though it is a bit of a pain with standard BUIS on an AR, I am compelled to adjust them until the dot is perfectly centered on the post.
