Air America Radio Investigated After Bush 'gunshots'

Guess what she talked about this afternoon. (For almost 45 mins) :D

She kind of wussed out, and apologized if she made anyone waste their time investigating her, or if she scared the President.

But, she said "Come and arrest me, if I've broken the law!" (which isn't that wussy) and then went on a tirade of Republican Congressmen and right-wing commentators who would also deserve jail.

Also, if you look at Drudge's site, his source is Scott McClellan, which is a pretty B.S. source for Secret Service investigations. He's got Air America's response, as well as comments by Randi.

This shows a good example of media bias. Now lets see a big NYT article and CBS,NBC and ABC bring this up. Now it has been mentioned on Cnn, Fox and MSNBC. But could you imagine the outrage if the NRA had made such an ad and aired it. Oh the screaming that Schumer and Kennedy would have shouted on the Senate floor about the EVIL NRA . Why they could blame talk radio and the NRA for some murder done that week in the USA. Kinda like Clinton did with Mcveigh and you still hear that in liberal circles. Kinda like the Jack booted Thug remark that originated with DEMOCRATIC Senator Dingel but was only reported by the MEDIA when the NRA repeated it. Sorry I'm not amused. :cuss:

No suprise, considering liberal/leftism is morally and intellectually bankrupt.

Coming from the right who wants to abandon/willfully ignore tons of scientific evidence to teach creationism over evolution? Or those that rely on religion to make decisions in governing.

Yeah, liberals are the ones who are intellectually bankrupt.

If there is any justice the F.C.C. will yank them inside out and the USSS will remove the stain.

Yep, it's just grand for the government to censor a view that opposes yours.

Creationism is a more valid theory than Socialism. At least it didn't require the murder of 200 million people before being proven wrong.

Even joking about shooting the president is a crime, let alone doing it on national radio... we are taking this very seriously," a government source explained.

You know, if these guys were conservatives and made the segment about Clinton we would be complaining about 'big brother' making with the censorship.

Oh boy. I wonder how many people have died throught history due to the Church's resistance to medical/scientific advancement and research. This is NOT a new thing at all. There was a time when doctors had to rely on myth and guesswork because they were not allowed to dissect a human body to learn anatomy. How many lives would you guess decisions like THAT cost us?

Did I ever mention socialism? You truly are the master of the strawman argument.

I hope they don't shut Error America down or fine them out of business. Its a good place for Soros to waste his money with zero return, and if you give the childish left enough rope they are bound to hang themselve many times over. :D

Rush, and Shaun Hanity have more listeners in New York then Air America has across the whole country. They are the most pathetic exscuse for radio station I have ever seen. They have absolutely no business model. They make no money, in fact in LA, and Chicago they are paying a radio station to play their propaganda.

Liberal/left/socialism are all peas in the same rotten pod.

Talk about a "strawman" argument. The fact is the first 150 years of America, it was a much more devoutly Christian country, which lead the world in science and invention. It's the liberal/left wing ideology which encourages ignorance, not religion. As evidence, I'll point to the performance of the average Catholic school over the average government school.

It's true that the Church impeded some research. But it's also true that the Church preserved a tremedous amount of knowledge through the dark ages, including the foundation works of Western Civilization, and exerted a civilizing influence throughout it's existance, which allowed for the luxury of arts and science. It also stopped the march of Islam, which would have kept all of us in the 13th century.

It seems there's no hole deep enough to contain Soro's money. The good news is, no matter how much he throws around, the liberal/left message just isn't convincing, even when mixed with a good portion of lies and deceits.

This is the same Catholic Church that says condoms are bad, even in Africa which has a MASSIVE AIDS problem?

Also, how much are people paying to attend a good Catholic School? I'd say the people who can afford it are middle class to upper class so it's more economics/family backround than anything to do with religion. I'd be willing to bet money that secular private schools do just as well as your vaunted Catholic schools.

I don't really listen to Air America, but you have to give them some credit. It took Rush, et al 20 something years to get where they are today. Let's see where the Air America types are in 20 years. Believe it or not, this country isn't owned by liberals or conservatives solely like people on both sides seem to think.

Actually Rush was the most listened to radio talk show within the first 4 years of him being on the radio nationaly. In 20 years no one but the history books will remember air america.

"I don't really listen to Air America, but you have to give them some credit."

You better float em a huge loan-with the hole they are digging, they are gonna need it!

To compare Air America to Rush Limbaugh is comparing a failure to a success story. Limbaugh got into the game to make a profit, and did not have the deep pockets even close to what Air America has in Soros and others.

I don't say that because I'm a fan of Rush-I think they are a bunch of blowhards from both sides of the fence. In strictly business terms, Air America is an abject failure, plain and simple.

And, if they think that joking about shooting the President is going to get them ratings, think again. I know several liberals at my work who thought it was most un-funny. They do not like Bush, but do not want the President shot or shot at regardless of their stripe. I agree.

"This is the same Catholic Church that says condoms are bad, even in Africa which has a MASSIVE AIDS problem?"

dloken-thats not much of an arguement when you consider the Catholic church is against contraception. Whether you agree that abstinence is the answer or not, it would be pretty hippicritical of the Catholic church to put its blessing on contraception in Africa while telling the developed world no. Sure, condoms would help, but will not stop the disease spreading.

What IS it with the liberals getting their pants in a bunch about religion anyway-do they attack REVEREND Jessie Jackson and others because they believe in a higher being??

I'm not attacking *anybody* for believing in religion. I just want it out of my government/offical places. There is a time and a place for everything. I fully support your constitutional right to religion, but I also ask you respect my constitutional right of freedom from religion.

dl-- I really hate to say it and you knew you would hear it but I am surprised by your statement. Someone who can appparently read the constitution and understand the 2nd amendment so well and then turns around and finds "A right to Freedom from Religion" in the 1st amendment is well being silly. It is not there no matter how close or far away or how you turn the paper ---------nota. Sorry. It reminds me of the anti-gun persons who state they have a "right" to live in a world without the fear of firearms or a "Right" to be safe etc. What happened to "We have nothing to fear except fear itself".

dloken-you are fully protected from any government required religion under the 1st Amendment. It clearly states the government will not recognise a state religion. Further, it states that it will not interfere in the free exercise thereof. So, if you/me/uncle bubba decide to believe or not to believe, the government has nothing to say about it. Period.

Not really my question, and maybe I did not state it clearly-my bad. It seems that people who want to believe in their religion and participating in politics are being slammed for it. Air America is talking about it like its a bad thing.

Would this be merely because they are espousing their religious values? I would not call it conservative values because not all conservatives are religious, but they tend to agree more with conservatives than liberal thinkers. If religion is so bad, why does the liberal arm of the democratic party back up people like Jesse Jackson, or is this a case of plain favoritism.

I do not hear conservatives, to include the religious right bashing ole Jesse for his belief in God, but more against his liberal views, where the debate belongs.

In a way, the liberal barrage which used to be a case of accusing every conservative of being one of those maniac gun owners has now switched against anyone professing a belief in a supreme being.

Guess they pushed enough button on the gun issue to where people tuned them out, so they had to find a new bogey man.....

Not that it matters one whit to me what a persons personal belief is-IMO, that comes from within rather than without, but I personally have no issue with anyones belief or disbelief in a higher being. I look for character, and have found good in both believers and non-believers alike.

I find it strange the far left is launching yet another attack which does not mean squat-true believers aren't going to stop beliving, and non-believers are not falling to their knees in droves-at least not in North Texas.

I'm not saying I have freedom from religion in the private sense, but when it comes to government I sure as hell do. The government has no business taking up anything pertaining to organized religion.

I'm not bashing politicians for believing in god, i'm mad that they're mixing the two.
