Hello, I recently purchased an AK47 made by the Firing Line in Oklahoma, it is a milled reciever AK47. The rifle came with plastic stocks and I would like to change it over to wooden stocks, there in lies the problem. Does anyone know where I can find wood stocks that will fit the milled receiver? If not does anyone know exactly what the difference between stamped receiver stocks and a milled receiver stock is and if they can be modified to fit this rifle?

stamped stocks have substantially more "meat" going into the receiver. the thickness of the wood going into the stock is also different. its really not practical to mod a stamped to fit a milled.

alot of milled stocks you find will be pretty beat up, but if you dont mind refinishing them they can look good

most of the way down the page

DSARMS has a milled Hungarian stock set on their website. I'm not sure if they have them in stock but that is one option. After that K-var and Global trades should have what you need.

Thank you everyone

Thanks for all your input everyone, I was having poor luck finding wood stocks for this gun, I see several of these sights carry them. This makes me so happy I think I will go shoot something!
