Anyone here use this holster for a Sig P226? A friend of mine uses one for his 226 and likes it. He's thin, I'm 6'1" 210 lbs. I tried it on and it seemed to hold the gun close to my body and conceal as well as could be expected. I only briefly wore it and it seemed pretty comfortable. Any input would be appreciated.

I used one for my sd9, love it for all day carry in and out of the car no problem and quick access to my pistol is no problem

I have one of the original Alien Gear IWB holsters made for a 1911. Most comfortable IWB holster I've ever worn. Got my Dad one for his XD .45 and he likes it. Based on my experience, I'd recommend you give them a shot.

Here is the 3.5 Cloak Tuck for those not familiar.

I have no first hand experience with them, but I generally put more emphasis on access than on plush comfort, and the Alien Gear holsters seem to lean towards the latter.

Thanks for the replies. Access and getting a good grip on my P226 Legion didn't seem to pose a problem maybe since it's a full size gun with fairly long grip/beaver tail. I especially like how well it concealed high and tight. I may order one.

I received the holster quickly from Alien Gear, put the longest screws and spacers in and the gun was still pretty tight. I loosened the screws to the point they were ready to fall out and couldn't draw the gun while wearing the rig. I set the holster to highest ride position to see if it would help. No dice. There were rub marks, almost scrapes, on the lower front outside half of the trigger guard of the gun. After taking the holster apart I could see where It was getting scraped by the trigger guard. I dremeled down the kydex "bubble" inside of the trigger guard area of the holster then sanded smooth and oiled it. I had to remove quite a bit to make it work. The Sig draws easily wearing the holster at the 4 o'clock position and retains well now without having the screws so loose they're falling out. Now that I'm done adjusting it I'll blue lock tight the screws. I haven't had a chance to wear it much yet but I think I'll like it.

I had same problem, found that the retention mechanism was loose, worked great until i put it on then couldn't draw the gun, tightened the screws that hold the tensioner to the holster then reset the tension and worked perfectly now

I use a 3.5 Cloak Tuck for my Ruger SR40c. Ultra comfortable... literally "forget it is there". Get one for your P226, they give you a 30 day "Test Drive", if you don't like it, send it back no questions asked. You can't go wrong.

I have a Cloak Tuck 3.0 that rarely sees use. Not because it's not a good holster but because it doesn't suit my day to day.

I have other Alien Gear holsters and they all seem to be pretty snug out of the box and need some breaking in.

That said I would not hesitate to recommend them, they seem to be well made and are comfortable enough.

I can't imagine wearing such contraption inside my pants all day long, however, it looks well-made and at $50 not that expensive. Thank God for pocket guns & pocket holsters.'

The only recommendation I have for AG holsters is to use lock tite on the screws. I love em, super durable, quality thick leather, replaceable everything. I had my cloak owb for over a year. I just recently re conditioned the leather and re checked all my screws for loosening.
AG is good to go ;)!
