Might be changing my decision when it comes to my upper receiver. I came across a seemingly legit site for complete upper receivers. I can basically build it exactly how I want with what I want internally and externally (depending how much I decide to spend lol)

Although when I went to look up reviews of this company I couldn’t find many.
It’s Alpha Shooting Sports. Here’s the link

Has anybody heard of this company? Are they reliable? Good to go on purchasing an upper from them? Or stay the f*%k away?

So many choices on their site plus I can completely customize it with many top quality parts. Just wasn’t sure what the deal with this company is

If anybody has experience with them or heard anything about them please let me know!

Thanks
B

Brandon, is there a reason you don’t want to put it together yourself?

Rskent-

I’m familiar with the process of piecing together lowers and am comfortable enough k do so. But I’ve never done an upper. And I honestly prefer to buy a complete upper (at least for this build). As you can probably see by my other threads, I have many ARs but have never built one. I’d like to buy a complete upper for this one.

The cool thing about Alpha is that you can pick and choose all the internal and external parts that you want. I think this would be best for me because i can still “build” my perfect upper with the barrel, gas system, BCG, habdguard etc that I want but don’t actuallt have to put it together myself.

Am I underestimating myself? Do you think I could build an upper myself with little to no experience in building?

I don’t know if you are underestimating yourself or not. Only you can answer that question.
But if you are into AR’s at some point you may want to change it around. Having the tools
and the experience to do it yourself is rewarding and not particularly difficult.
In my mind being able to change them around is one of the many great things about AR’s.

If you can find better pricing elsewhere ADCO is very well respected and will put together an upper for like $30 . Just send them your stuff and they have a quick turn around time and great feedback on multiple forums. I had them pin a flash hider on a 14.5 barrel and was really happy with them

Yeah the Lower seems cake but the upper seems to be a lot more detailed and can cause improper functions if put together incorrectly.
Most ppl are amazed that I’ve owned ARs for so long and have yet to build one myself haha
