I really like the look of the Altamont grips (specifically for my Charter Arms Undercover). I’m looking for any feedback on how much bulk they add compared to the factory grips. I’ve tried to Photoshop pictures from the Altamont site onto a picture of my CA, and it looks like they may add about 1/4-1/2” in overall length. It doesn’t look like as much as the Full Combat Rubber Grips (see photo), but it looks like there’s definitely more bulk. This is my summer EDC, so I am concerned about concealment and printing.

I like the factory rubber grips well enough - and I wouldn’t mind keeping them...but Altamont sure makes some pretty furniture!!

All C.A. revolvers have the same grip frame so what fits one fits all. without knowing your mode of carry I cannot give what I think would be best. too small and its harder to shoot, too big and harder to conceal.View attachment 903441

Thanks for the photos, I know they’ll fit —but how much bigger are they? The picture I included showed the difference between the CA factory grips and the CA Full Combat Rubber Grips. You can see they’re quite a bit bigger. I think the Altamont grips fall somewhere in between, but I’m hoping someone can confirm!

Well, I decided to take the plunge and get some Altamont grips. They came today and they look great!

And to answer my own question, they’re about the same size as the Charter Arms Full Size Combat Grips. The picture shows the comparison...a noticeable difference in overall length. Very nicely made, though - and well worth the price!

Your Altamont grips look great! When I had my Charter Arms Undercover I tried Pachmayr Compac grips on it but thought they were too big and bulky for concealed carry. Ended up going with the original factory wood grips and adding a Tyler T-Grip adapter to it for a more filling grip on the gun. Nowadays with my S&W J frames I still use that same Tyler T-Grip adapter on one of them and S&W's factory boot grips on the other.

I like that Tyler grip (except for the prominent advertising!)...it’s a nice look!

That advertising would be easily removed if you didn't care all that much for it. The adapter itself has served me well for many years and does a great job of filling out the grip frame while not adding much in the way of weight (it's made out of aluminum), or bulk.
