A lot of good reading on reloading aluminum cases in these two links. 6 pages worth in the second one.

Aluminum was never meant to be reloading as the metal doesn't have the qualities needed to be reloaded over and over. Some people have success with a reloading or two, but for me as long as there are cheap 9MM brass cases available, I'll stick to a proven commodity.

As far as shooting factory ammo loaded in aluminum cases some guns don't like it. Most are fine with it.

If you claim that Aluminum cases can not be reloaded the same number of times as brass, I would agree.
"some guns don't like it" - probably a good reason to have such guns inspected and fixed by qualified gunsmith.
I think that the issue with reloading "steel" cases is much different than "aluminum" cases.

Walkalong, So true I will take the snow. I have not been to Alabama for years. I was in South Carolina many times in my working years. I always enjoyed visiting Charleston. It is beautiful and historical city. The folks in Old Dixie are great company. Merry Christmas Walkalong.

It's interesting that on another site (The Firing Line) a poster reported that H&K warned against using aluminum (and steel) cases in at least some of their pistols. No reason was given and I have no idea for HK's admonition. Some posters opined that it was just a "CYA" lawyer-inspired warning but I've never heard of aluminum posing a safety risk when used in firearms. I suppose one could argue that steel might be hard on extractors.
