Pretty new to the handgun world and shooting Kahr P9 9mm.

Anyone have strong negative or positive opinions on:

Magtech Sport Ammunition 9mm Luger 115 Grain FMJ, or

Wolf ammo??

Thanks,

Jeff+

They both go bang and both are fun to shoot at the range.

Especially the one you paid less money for. :)

Whatever is cheaper, just remember to not stock up on anything until you know your handgun is happy eating it.
Some pistols are ammo-picky, and it varies pistol-to-pistol, even within a model/manufacturer.

I use MagTech in everything from 9mm to .50BMG, never any problems after ~10k rounds in the last 5 years. The Barrett .50 rounds come out of the same South American Factory as the ones marketed by MagTech. Good stuff.

Another vote for Magtech. I've shot a couple of boxes of Wolf in a couple of different guns and found it pretty dirty. (and I'm not a steel case fan - some ranges here won't even allow steel casings)

I don't shoot steel cased ammo in my pistols. The extractor is steel and steel against steel makes me nervous.
That's just me though. I'd rather spend a couple extra bucks on better ammo than screw up a good gun.
But--since I reload --I haven't had to buy any ammo for quite a while now:neener:

I do have some of the Magtech in 223 for the AR and it shoots just fine.
I have some Wolf in 7.62x39 but that's just for the AK and SKS but those dudes will eat anything

But for the OP--I would stick with brass--therefore--Magtech

Never had problems with wolf but it is dirty... my neighbor left his SKS uncleaned for a few days after some Wolf ammo and he had to beat the bolt out with a hammer lol. He never had issues with his 1911 with Wolf and I have never had issues with Wolf but don't use it without cleaning it afterwards...
