I have a Ruger Super Redhawk 7 1/2" scoped in SS. I have the option of some one selling me a Scoped Anaconda 8" in camo.

Since I have two from the snake series..King Cobras one in SS 4" other Black 6", I want to know if it is prudent to excahnge my RSRH for Anaconda, since Anacondas are not made anymore?

Appreciate your views.

I love Colts and own several Anacondas and Ruger Redhawks. Strictly from a money stand point get the Colt. They are flying up in price/worth and will be a great investment in the future a well as a great shooter. I also believe not too many were made in the factory camo so it would be worth more than a regular stainless.

I would get the Colt simply because it's small and growing gold mine, but I wouldn't get rid of the Ruger. The Ruger is more durable than the Colt but more importantly it's still in production and have a better support base with accessories.

"The Ruger is more durable than the Colt"

Anaconda's are built like tanks too.

As a lover of all of Colt's "snakes" - Diamondback, Cobra, Python, King Cobra and especially the Anaconda, I'd go Anaconda.

They're not made anymore (sadness, heavy sigh), built good and strong, and they have that sexy Python look.

trashing a ruger for a colt is like dumping miss december to score with miss february. You already got a great gun, but have an opportunity for another. Don't choose between them if you don't have to, try to finance a way to buy the second gun. I'm in the poorhouse this month because I got a 30-day layaway on a python and i gotta get it in two weeks. I could have traded in one of my other guns to make it financially more feasible but then I'd be trading in rugers like you and i just cant have that. My two cents

I hate camo'd guns, but if you buy the Anaconda, be sure and check the timing. They had serious issues with guns being out of time, and the Anaconda I happened to be shopping for was out of time. If I hadn't known it, I might have been stuck.

When was this happening? I recently heard this story before but no one answered my question. Quite a few of us have been around Anacondas for quite a while and haven't seen this problem.
