I just loaded up my first batch of 115 gr jhp w/unique.Does anybody use unique w/9mm and what loads? The loads and oal varied a great deal from one manual to another. The little dandy #10 rotor is supposed to throw around 5.2 of unique, mine was closer to 5.0.I used remington bullets.Just wondering if anyone had loads for 115 gr fmj or jhp loads.

Yup...Sure do, but not using Unique...I use W-231 anywhere from 4.2 grains to 4.8 grains in Winchester or Remington cases, WSP primers, and seat a Winchester 115 grain JHP from 1.100 to 1.110 OAL...They work very well in my "wonder nine"....:)

That's a pretty light charge of Unique for a 115 grain bullet. You can up that a little and still be within SAAMI standard pressure. Best to be careful, though.;)

Mc,lyman showed 4.4-5.8,speer showed 5.6-6.3,alliant showed 5.5 max for fmj.my next rotor would have put it at 6.0 and didn't want to push it that much to start with.I know the load I used would be impossible to double charge.

I used 5.0gr of Unique behind various 115gr JHP and FMJ bullets for a soft shooting plinking load. I would up it to 5.5gr for something a little hotter. I never chronoed these loads. I later switched to 231.

4.8gr of 231 with a 115gr JHP runs 1065 fps from my EAA Witness.

For comparison Cor-bon 115gr JHP +P factory ammo runs 1340 from the same gun.

I use Rem 124g JHPs with 4.7g of Unique. They clock in at about 1050 fps and are very accurate. Great IDPA load that makes power factor. I use only Unique for all my handgun calibers.
