BELLEVUE, Wash., March 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Williamsport, PA

Mayor Mary B. Wolf has quit New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's
"Mayors Against Illegal Guns" coalition, telling the Second
Amendment Foundation in a letter that she joined in hopes
of finding "community based solutions to reduce gun violence."

However, in a letter to Bloomberg -- a copy of which Mayor Wolf
forwarded to SAF founder Alan M. Gottlieb -- she told Bloomberg, " I have
learned that the Coalition may be working on issues that conflict with
legal gun ownership and that some actions on your behalf are dubious.
"
NY Mayor Bloomberg's stunt is nothing more than a discriminatory witch hunt.

I sent the following email to the Mayors office.

Mayor Wolf,

I would like to thank you for your upstanding example with regards to Michael Bloomberg's "Mayors Against Illegal Guns" coalition.

While I believe that Mr. Bloomberg's initial intentions were good, I also believe that the coalition's mistaken focus on tools rather than criminals was bound to lead them into very questionable territory.

I know you will receive criticism for your decision to sever ties with the coalition, but I personally applaud your choice to review the developing situation and think for yourself.

Respectfully

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Okay, I don't really believe Bloomberg had good intentions but a bit of "politic" suits this letter far better than what I'd like to say about Bloomberg.
