Didn't want to hijack other thread.

I've been using Berry bullets pretty much exclusively for 9mm practice rounds. Use lead data or 1/2 jacketed data as mentioned.

Since they are basically lead (I'm reasonably sure of that) that are plated, what about use in Glocks with their factory barrel. I've not noticed any problems and assume the reason for not using lead is barrel fowling. I've reasoned the plated bullets bypasses this problem but would love opinions.

Some plated companies advise against using plated bullets in glocks. However, I believe that berry's is not one of them. In fact I think that one of their big selling points is that they supply a lot of police around the country. My guess is that most of those police use glocks.

You should be good to go with Berry's in your factory Glock barrel. Unless you really overload them above 1200 fps, or overcrimp and tear through the plating, the plating material should stay put. Yes, they are a lead core.

Berry's also sells the 9mm 124 grain TP for thick plate. They say it's good up to 1400 fps.

I shoot plated (xtreme) bullets out of my XDM and my wife shoots them out of her Glock 22. we have shot 1000's of them and no issue.

I've had Berry's and Rainier plated 9mm bullets up over 1,200 fps in a .38 Super and Glock 17L, no issues at all, and those were just regular plated bullets, not the 'TP' type. Many thousands through my Glock 19 as well.

I use jacketed data and stay 10% or more below max charges.
