Another poll about arming teachers.
The yes votes are already ahead. I think this is abunch of anti-gun nuts answering this question, "Yes, pop a few kids and they'll behave."

A Wisconsin legislator is recommending teachers and administrators be armed at school.

Is this a good idea?
9% Yes, pop a few kids and they'll behave
32% Yes, it will keep children safe
14% No, it would add to the danger
18% No, this is not a sane suggestion
27% This does not warrant discussion

Every time there's been a school shooting this subject has come up. At first, there was NO support for it except from those of us who knew how the Israelis solved their school terrorism problems.
This time there's a bit more support - but not much. At this rate, I would guess that another thirty or forty kids will have to die before the question gets some serious consideration. If America lasts long enough, our kids may see their kids properly protected ... Maybe.

I disagree. I think it will take somebody breaking the the by having a firearm in school, and stopping some nut trying to kill kids. It will have to be so obvious they saved a number of lives that the MSM will have to tell the truth.

I am afraid that another 30 or 40 chidren killed would have the opposit effect, as in Stockton and Austrailia.

Let me make this very clear.. it is as idiotic, to forcefully arm people as it is to prohibit them carrying arms. This choice should be left to the individual, if they so see fit.

True, but I am sure that it would be on a volunteery basis if they ever allowed it, which is doubtful.

Personally, I think the statement was phrased or reportrd wrong. There are some honest, law abiding people that should never be handleing firearms, which my wife is one. No, she would not delibertly do anything bad with it, but she is so nervous around them I doubt if she could do anything good, and she does not care to learn how to handle them.

solareclipse, I have yet to read/see/hear ANYBODY call for REQUIRING any teacher to be armed. Yet, this keeps being brought up.

All suggestions have spoken to the voluntary part of the whole deal. Voluntary, okay? Nobody is suggesting drafting any teacher into involuntary enforcement of the law.
