Well it finally came in, plan to shoot it in roughly 2 hours from now. After much thought I decided to go with a GP100 in the limited 5" barrel. It balances amazingly and has an absolutely fantastic double action pull. Plan to shoot the barrel out of this thing if I can! Looking back I might have some buyers remorse for not going with a 4" Colt King Cobra for about $200 more but I still like this Ruger. It is going to be a work horse for me. How do you guys think I did? Here she is fresh out of the box.

Congratulations! That’s good looking revolver.
Let us know how it shoots.
I was looking at Kramer horse hide holsters one day and mentioned them to my wife without thinking about her love of horses. Boy, I won’t do that again. :what::rofl:

Next time tell her they don't get the hides until the glue factory and dog food factory gets through processing the horse. That ought to get her going.:D

Nice looking gun OP. I bet you are going to really like that gun. I have a 4" and 6" GPs and have shot the 6" the most of all my handguns. I have shot around 5,000+ rounds through it and its still tight as new. Most were target wad cutters in the falling plate matches but thats still a fair amount of rounds down the tube.

Very cool, I've had a few 5" GP100's, the stainless 357 and the blued full lug 44 Special, it's a great barrel length.

They were “sick” horses that were dying anyway! Right?
