:banghead: I have Googled and repeated Google search to try to answer these questions.

How many Colt Pony Series 90 - .380 caliber pistols were manufactured? What date did Colt start making them?
When did Colt stop making them?
Why did they stop making them?

I just bought one in PERFECT condition. I will probably never carry it or use it and it will probably just sit in my safe but I had to have it. Makes no sense.

Be better off going to a Colt board or calling Colt They will tell you year of yours if you give serial number. Might even answer other questions as to start and stop years.

The Pony was Colt's DAO version of the Mustang. It was introduced in the 1990s. The Pony Pocketlite was made just shortly after. Around 2000, Colt decided to shift its focus to military and LEO guns and stopped production on the pocket autos, along with several other models.

As to how many were made and what year yours was made, you'd probably need to contact Colt about that.

Yeah I think I will look around some more. I didn't think this info would be so hard to find and if you contact the Colt archive people you'll pay a pretty penny for it. Thank you for the suggestions.
