Not a handloading question so I'm putting it in General.

Does anyone besides Underwood and Buffalo Bore offer a full power (650-700+ ft-lb) 10mm loading with the 180gr Hornady XTP bullet? I am on Underwood's notify list and I am tired of playing the Buffalo Bore bullet lottery (my last 3 boxes of 10mm have three different bullet types, none of which are the XTP).

Doubletap also has some good 10mm loads. I have 180 grain underwood in FMJ, Gold Dot, and XTPs. Any reason in particular you are looking for the XTPs? Is this a hunting or SD load?

Hunting. 13.5" barrel. Almost 1600 fps/ 1000 ft-lb:: takes a tough bullet. Montana Gold might also be a good at those velocities.

Buffalo Bore is loading the Montana Gold but there is no way of knowing what you are going to get.

PS. I've read that Double Tap, is also shipping "random" bullets.

Hmm. Montana gold is more of a target round...but it does seem to hold up well at higher velocities.

I've never known doubletap to use shoddy bullets though.

Funny this got moved to handguns after I mentioned it is being used with a 13.5" barrel. :D

Lots of people make good aammo but at least underwood lets you know what bullet you are going to get. I guess I will keep waiting.

Neither the XTP or the Montana Gold have bonded jackets but they both have thick jackets.

It does not appear that Corbon or HPA load the XTP. Corbon does not load heavy bullets at all.
