Obtained this trimmer (?) in boxes of miscellaneous reloading tools and components.
There are no markings on either the machined parts or the cast base. The "handle" at the top appears to be a home workshop contrivance.
Any of the THR knowledgeable have any information or ideas? trimmer-.jpg

Thank you for taking a look, appreciate any help I can get.

It looks homemade from the bolt handle on it. Have you tried it yet?

The block of aluminum does too.

Thanks for the tip FROGO207- a little checking and the color/finish on the casting looks does look like Herter's. Researching to see if I can find more info on their old line. The handle is definitely a home replacement.

Im pretty sure it is a Herters. My dad passed away a little while ago and when going through all the reloading equipment I came across one of those. If im not mistaken, it still has the original box and manual with it. I will look tomorrow when I get home. If it has the paper ( most of his stuff has the original box, manual, and even receipt) I can probably send you a copy.

Correction...just found a picture of it on my I pad, it is a MP junior case trimmer, and the box is in the picture. I will try and upload it. Pretty sure the papers are in the box if i remember correctly.

Looks like the only slight modification is someone added a block of wood and a bolt for a handle.

Thank you! That’s the one. Figured someone on THR would recognize it. If I remove the aluminum block and bolt I think I can fit a handle, or an adapter for power drive.

Im thinking it was designed to lay flat ( like on its back ) and the two indents in the middle of the frame are for "securing" screws. The end of the top shaft fit in a drill chuck. If mounted on the end of the table you can use a cordless drill on it while it lies horizontal.

Looking closely at the box label - does it say Master Precision or Lee Precision?
