I know it's a tall order but has anyone an idea who made this holster? Does it look mass produced or custom? It came with a 1967 three screw Single Six I bought a couple years ago. I can see no markings on the holster other than the embossing. I haven't seen any searching that have this type of stitching which appears to be leather. Any of you folks have one like this?

That one looks custom to me.
The tooling and braided seam.?
That's what I was thinking too. JTQ, I carefully looked on the backside for a mark without finding one but it could have rubbed off. In the center of this close up of the back side of the holster there is one spot right in the center that looks like a possible number?

Believe it was made by a hobbyist, and a good one at that. The one tell-tale mark is the snap on the retaining strap. Located too high, and too small. Also few manufacturers use black as a routine color.

But a nice custom holster, none the less.

My thought is it's an inexpensive Mexican import.
I've seen many very similar to it when I lived in So-Cal.

The carving is clean but very rudimentary,,,
Some Mexican man or woman sitting at a bench,,,
Churning out 10-12-or more of the same each and every day.

Hobbyist or Mexican import/bring back the holster is pretty well made but the maker not too familiar with carrying a gun. The small snap, as I pointed out, plus the belt loop fold is left fairly wide indicates this. And most hobbyists usually use plain wrapping lacing, not braided as this one is.

Taken in as a deal not too bad, and seems serviceable enough.

Thanks for the info. It was just tossed in with the old single six 22lr by the dealer at the time of the sale basically for free and doesn't get any use.

Looks similar to a Tom Threepersons except or the braided seam and I think EP saddlery makes those. What ever it is and whoever made it it is a very nice holster.
