Any recalls / dangers w/ .357 lever actions going on right now?

Yesterday I told a buddy that I bought a .357 Marlin 1984c. His ears perked up and he said: "I just saw an article last week in a gun magazine that said there's a danger and don't shoot it. I don't know if it's with Marlin but I know it's with a .357 lever action".

He's trying to find the article (wasn't his magazine) but does anyone know what he might of read?

I don't know of any. i have a Marlin and have had no problems and plan to buy another. If there is a problem happening, I would love to see the original article.

No recalls that I know of.

But of course now that Remington has a hand in Marlin production, there probably will be one. They have recalled about everything else lately.
