They call it the SSR-40

Some have the folding stock welded in the folded position, some don't have the folding stock at all and are considered pistols (the same class as some of those AK pistols) and some are Class 2 SBR's with a functional folding stock. Anybody heard of these guys or had any dealings with them?

I've always wanted an MP-40 without going through the hassle and expense of trying to find and get cleared for an NFA purchase that's basically out of my reach money wise anyway. If these guys are any good then perhaps this is my chance to finally get one.

Browning

I found them at Marstar Canada's website. Nice looking, but they carry a pretty hefty price tag.

yea 3 large is a steep price for something like that. I havent found anyone who's bought one, or any reviews for that matter, i personally want to know how close they are to the original. Have they changed the firing mechanisms so much that they are nothing to the original to keep them semi auto friendly? Or are they just different recievers that do not have room for the full auto sear.

They also sell the BD44 and an older one at that I believe, the first true assault rifle. I'd rather have that over the 9mm.

I believe they're running ads in the Shotgun news too. Sorry, don't remember the pricing, but it doesn't seem like it was $3,000 or even close or I'd have stopped in astonishment. :uhoh:

The SGN that I have just says POR (price on request), so maybe they were hoping to avoid sticker shock so that people would really get to wanting one and then the price wouldn't matter as much to them.

That seems right. No wonder I didn't stop and look. It'd be cool to have one though, especially if it's been one of your "dream weapons".
Good luck!
Remember, if it will whet your taste for it, you can get it in an airsoft frame. Same weight, same operation, but fully auto (electric motor). Maybe even more fun than the real thing in semi...... ;)

Its a "resting bar" for firing out of, or over the top of a vehicle. Its to help keep the muzzle from coming back in and making your life miserable while firing. :)

Yes. More precisely, it was designed to prevent the muzzle from coming inside while firing through the view slit of an armored vehicle. :what::eek::uhoh:

Turn the weapon sideways, stick the muzzle through the view slit, then turn it upright and between the sight and the resting bar, you won't fill the vehicle with 9mms no matter how rough the ride.

What is the little antenna for on the top of the MP44's gas block?, or shall I say sticking out the end towards the barrel just above

I believe that little post is a stacking stud, used to stack rifles in the field.

Similar to this....

I wouldnt mind having a semi auto MP 44.....but I dont see why the price is so high, if they would lower it (they cant cost THAT much to make) Im sure they would sell more and make more money. $2699 for a semi auto MP 40? no thanks, thats to pricey for a "just fun gun"
