Was looking at their AR 15 kits. they have all parts except stripped lowers. So theoretically I could get a A2 kit for $400 and a stripped Eagle lower from quantico sales for $75 and have an AR for under $500. But what kind of quality would it be? Who makes the Model 1 parts? Anyone have any advice? PS its this or get the RRA upper and lower seperately for about $150 more. thanks

I've bought from them twice and a friend bought from them once. I won't do it again and neither will he.
One upper I got had a rough, tight chamber that would freeze the gun after any sort of use (had to tap out cases with a cleaning rod after shooting more than a magazine). Sold it for real cheap to a guy who was willing to get it fixed.
A "complete lower parts kit" was missing the buffer. Bought a new one from Bushmaster.
My friend's "complete lower parts kit" had a broken trigger pin (finished, no less). When I emailed them about it (and informed them of my previous experiences), they said they would replace the pin after I sent them my mailing address. Sent it and never heard from them again.
So far they're oh and three in my book and they've never made an attempt at fixing things, so I'll go elsewhere.

You can buy nice quality Rock River parts for just a little bit more. I'm very pleased with the RR parts I got to build mine. I am also very pleased with my $75 Eagle Arms lower from Quantico.

RRA made new logo lowers for $89.99 at Eaglefirearms.net. Why not buy a really good lower. Id go for the RRA before an eagle arms even tho they make Armalite lowers. Ive heard a few bad remarks about the quality. Check out AR15.com for all the info you will ever want to know about lowers uppers, building, buying new or whatever if its AR related.

I bought my first ever AR kit from them 5 years ago. A 20" A2 with Alum float tube added on. All parts there, everything went together as the instructions said, and it's been a 100% shooter since day one.
I've put over 2500 rd's through this one since I built it. Still shoots 5 shots under 1.0 MOA with good match ammo any day of the week.
