Anyone carry cross draw style?

Have always carried chest cross draw, started with the same exact holster “joe Friday’ use,,,, I practiced every day, because I had too.. almost 30 yrs, and never had to draw in line of work,,,,thank the Lord.
Though my hand touched it only twice in all those years..

I like to carry cross draw. More comfortable (for me) and can easily draw gun with either hand. Does not bump rifle stocks or interfere with seat belt buckle when driving. Easy to draw when driving. No one can snatch my gun out of the holster from behind me. If attempting to do so from my front, I've got two hands/arms and four feet to assist in discouraging that.

Most days I'm carrying this Charter Arms .44 Bulldog in an old Brauer Bros. cross draw holster. Extra ammo on a speed strip in a Don Hume pouch.

To me, nothing else feels as right as cross draw. I have a ton of "Well I tried that on my..." holsters that sit in a closet because I didn't like them.
That said, I don't like jackets much inside and so it doesn't really work. I carry a small 9mm in a pocket holster. It works, but I don't really like it.

I carry a S&W 66 2.5" crossdraw. I use an elpaso saddlery holster. I have it positioned as far forward as possible that still allows the barrel to move to my side as I sit down. I will be switching to a smaller automatic soon and I will get a similar holster for it.

Here's a couple more cross draw holsters I use at times.

Colt Agent .38 spl rides good in this one.

I have carried cross draw from time to time but usually carry on hip strong side. I have also thought of starting to carry SOB from time to time but would need entire new holsters for that so, probably won't go there anytime soon

All of my belt holsters for woods walking and hunting are cross draw...Have been for many years..

I do much the same with my revolvers, though I prefer my woods 10mm 1911 strong side.

I just got used to slinging my rifle over my left shoulder instead of my right.

For EDC 4 o'clock leather holster by R.Grizzle or AIWB Vedder holster . If I spend alot of time sitting maybe then I would look at a cross draw .

I carried a SP101 4in cross draw in a Mernickle Field Carry holster in the field and long driving trips. But, I carry it in the front, appendix carry, but with right hand draw from the left side. That way I didn't have a muzzle pointed at my own leg, or other precious parts, at any time. Real comfortable as well to carry that way. As for security, because it sits in front, someone looking to disarm would have to do it directly in front of me. I feel it's a lot easier to control that when the threat has to be directly in front of you in order to effectively get to the gun, and as a previous poster noted, still have the other limbs to assist, instead of fighting for possession from the side or from behind.

I can only successfully conceal and comfortably carry G17 while carrying cross draw. This is a very rare occasion - I have other guns far more suitable for carrying, I don’t need to worry about concealment in winter clothing, and it’s pointless in summer. However when it’s warm enough for a hoodie / sweater but not a coat, and for whatever reason I decide to go with G17, it goes cross draw into OWB holster under the top garment. Carrying cross draw really helps to hide that long grip. So I’ve been doing it - at times - ever since I got my license.

That said, I’ve been sometimes cross draw carrying my G26 lately, too, it’s so much easier to access it cross draw while seating in the car. I’ve been driving through some really sketchy parts recently, twice a week for half a year, on a project. Really made me re-access my methods.

Oh Yes, I've got two of the Glock Sport/ Combat holsters and they are my favorite for strong side carry...and the price is right. I can't seem to get them positioned just right for cross draw with their built in cant...think I'll try again.

I'd like to carry my Glock 26 or 27 cross draw at times but never have found a comfortable holster to do that with.

Believe it or not, after many years and several pricey holsters, I ended up using the Glock’s own cheap plastic pancake wonder. It’s small and light, as thin as can be, and virtually indestructible.

I use the same Glock holster for cross draw. Works good with my G19 and even better with my G26.
